(Reuters) – Former Rockwell Collins president Kelly Ortberg has joined the list of candidates Boeing Co is seriously considering to be the company’s next chief executive, The Air Current reported on Sunday, citing industry officials.

Ortberg, Spirit Aerosystems (NYSE:S) CEO Pat Shanahan and Boeing Chief Operating Officer Stephanie Pope are among the candidates to take the Boeing job, the trade magazine said.

Reuters reported that Shanahan and Pope are among the candidates, along with Boeing Chairman Steve Mollenkopf.

RTX subsidiary Rockwell Collins produces aircraft communications, electronics and avionics systems for commercial and military customers. Ortberg retired in 2021 as an advisor to the CEO of RTX after leading Rockwell Collins and its successor entities for nearly eight years as they went through mergers, acquisitions and restructurings.

Boeing is looking for a new chief executive after Dave Calhoun said in March he would step down by the end of the year, in a sweeping management shakeup following the 737 Max’s mid-flight control panel explosion in January.
