The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced that the maximum price of government-controlled 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps in Israel will rise on Tuesday at midnight, January 1, 2025, by NIS 0.08 per liter to NIS 7.20 per liter. Service fees at the pumps, including VAT, will rise by NIS 0.02 to NIS 0.24 per litre.

The increase in prices is due to an increase in the value-added tax by 10% from 17% to 18%, an increase in customs duties, and a decline in the shekel against the dollar by 0.66%. Over the past month, the price of a barrel of oil in the Mediterranean region decreased by 1.45%.

In 2024, the maximum price of government-controlled 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps will rise by NIS 0.26 from NIS 6.94 at the end of 2023.
