Google Cloud partners with Prudential on AI insurance products

Google Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alphabet Inc., has partnered with British insurer Prudential Plc to develop AI-powered insurance products and applications to improve the experience for customers, agents and employees.

Google Cloud will support Prudential’s new AI lab with end-to-end solutions, which will see around 15,000 Prudential employees use AI to improve customer service.

“The AI ​​Lab is set to launch later this year and is designed to accelerate Prudential’s adoption of machine learning, artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence (gen AI), while driving progress toward Prudential’s strategic priorities of delivering a better customer experience; driving technology-enabled distribution; and improving access to affordable, high-quality health care,” the insurance company said.

The partnership aims to improve insurance, health and financial outcomes across Africa and Asia by addressing business and customer challenges.

The lab will provide a hands-on and testing environment for Prudential employees to develop scalable AI products and applications, including access to leading language models, advanced and secure AI, data analytics solutions, and end-to-end cloud delivery.

The lab will prioritize the use of AI to improve access to quality healthcare and enhance agents’ ability to deliver personalized customer experiences. It will also focus on using AI to streamline operational processes for the benefit of customers, agents, and employees.
