In the first five months of 2024, privately owned Israeli technology companies raised $4.1 billion.

Israeli startups raised nearly $1.5 billion in May 2024, according to press releases seen by Globes. The number may be higher because some companies prefer to remain hidden and sometimes do not announce the investments they have received. This is the highest monthly figure in several years and the second month in a row in which private technology companies in Israel have raised more than $1 billion.

Private Israeli tech companies raised just $6.9 billion in 2023, according to IVC-Leumitech, after raising $15 billion in 2022 and a record $25.6 billion in 2021. In the first five months of 2024, Israeli startups raised 4.1 Billion dollar.

In May 2024, cloud security company Wiz led major funding rounds that raised $1 billion – the largest single funding round ever by a private Israeli technology company. AI data platform company Weka raised $140 million, and drone maker Xtend raised $40 million. Insurtech Honeycomb raised $36 million, Oasis Security raised $35 million, and property management company Agora raised $34 million.
