Lockheed Martin appointed Tal Galor, 41, as vice president and CEO of Israel. In 2022, Galor was selected by Globes as one of Israel’s 40 most promising people under 40. She replaces the dean. Gen. (Res.) Joshua Chaney, who is retiring after serving in that position for 34 years.

Galor, who will begin her role in the coming months, grew up in Herzliya. She worked as an analyst in an IDF intelligence unit during her military service, and holds degrees in law and business administration from Reichman University, and a master’s degree in social sciences from Tel Aviv University. She also graduated from the executive leadership programs at Harvard and Columbia Universities.

Before joining Lockheed Martin in 2014, Galor worked for nearly a decade in the Prime Minister’s Office. Over the past decade at Lockheed Martin, she has contributed significantly to the company’s activities in Israel, leading strategic operations and complex projects, developing procurement procedures for various platforms for the Israeli Air Force, and initiating new global cooperation with the Israeli defense industries.

“I am grateful for the trust placed in me and for the opportunity to lead Lockheed Martin’s activities in Israel and proud to be part of an organization that combines innovation and leading-edge technology with a commitment to supporting the national security of the State of Israel,” Galor said. I look forward to continuing to strengthen cooperation with the Israeli Defense Forces and industries, in order to provide advanced solutions that will contribute to Israel’s security for decades to come.

“I thank Joshua (Checky) Chaney for his significant contribution over the past decades to Lockheed Martin’s prosperity, expanding the LM footprint by delivering world-class platforms and industry partnerships, and I congratulate everyone,” said Ray Beselli, Vice President of International Business at Lockheed Martin. Tal Galor is the perfect fit to lead Lockheed Martin’s operations in Israel. “The extensive knowledge, capabilities and experience that Galor brings with her will enhance Lockheed Martin’s activities in Israel in the years to come.”
