Man robbed and murdered over 3 Bitcoin in Kyiv

Kyiv police have arrested four men on charges of kidnapping and murdering a 29-year-old foreigner.

The crime was pre-planned and the motive was around 3 Bitcoin (BTC). National Police of Ukraine Reported The incident occurred in the Solomyansky district of Kyiv, Ukraine, after residents heard screams and saw several men beating a man and dragging him into a car around midnight.

Immediately, the police launched a large-scale operation in Kyiv and the surrounding areas to identify and arrest the suspects.

Cryptocurrency Murder Details

The suspects, aged between 24 and 29, planned the kidnapping meticulously. After discovering that the victim had BTC, they followed him to his home. Upon his return, they attacked him and forcibly took him to an abandoned building in the Kyiv region, According to to censor.net.

In a secluded location, the suspects forced the victim to transfer his Bitcoin to their cryptocurrency wallet before strangling him. To cover their tracks, they changed the car’s license plates and appearance, buried the body in a forest, and converted the stolen cryptocurrency into cash.

The KORD Special Unit, in cooperation with law enforcement officers, successfully arrested the suspects. During the operation, the police confiscated the money, the vehicle used in the crime and other crucial evidence.

The case is currently under investigation, with charges of robbery, kidnapping, murder for profit and concealment of crime being filed against the suspects. The quick and coordinated police response was instrumental in solving this brutal crime.
