The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.5 % in March 2025, according to the numbers issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics today. Analysts expected a 0.4 % increase, after the consumer price index has not changed in February 2025. March's reading reaches annual inflation in Israel to 3.3 % than 3.4 % at the end of February, making inflation closer to the upper limit than the annual target of Israel, but not by 3.1 % of inflation in inflation.
Price increases in March were in clothes and shoes, which increased by 2.2 %, culture and entertainment, which increased by 1.5 %, fresh fruits, which increased by 1.3 % and housing services, which increased by 1.2 %.
The high prices in furniture, home equipment, and communications, each decreased by 0.4 %.
The Central Bureau of Statistics also published the change in home prices (which is not part of the public consumer price index) between December 2024/2025 and JNEW-Furny 2025. On average, prices rose 0.9 %, after a rise of 1.2 % in the previous month.
