Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.58% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close of trading in Oslo, the Norwegian Stock Exchange’s general index fell 0.58% to its lowest level in a month.

The best performers in the session were: Hogg Automatic Production Lines ASA (OL:) shares rose 4.69% or 5.30 points to trade at 118.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:) shares added 1.67% or 1.60 points to close at 97.50 and Frontline Limited OL shares rose 1.47%, or 3.50 points, to 242.20 in late trading.

The worst performance in the session was Norwegian Shuttle Airlines ASA (OL:), which fell 7.40% or 0.84 points to trade at 10.51 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:) fell 2.87% or 6.80 points to close at 230.30 and Nordic Semiconductor A.S.A. OL: fell 2.56%, or 3.30 points, to 125.50.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 168 to 109, while 31 stocks closed unchanged.

Orkla ASA (OL:) shares rose to a five-year high, up 1.67%, or 1.60, to 97.50. Aker BP ASA (OL:) shares fell to a 52-week low, down 2.87%, or 6.80, to 230.30.

October crude futures fell 1.53%, or $1.06, to $68.09 a barrel. In other trading, November Brent crude futures fell 1.51%, or $1.10, to $71.59 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.24%, or $6.10, to trade at $2,537.00 an ounce.

The EUR/NOK pair rose 0.28% to 11.85, while the USD/NOK pair rose 0.54% to 10.67.

The US dollar index fell 0.10% to 100.97.
