“PickleBit”: Proof of Workforce, Fold, and Pickle Pop Partner on Pickleball Tournament, Offer Bitcoin Prize Pool

Santa Monica based non-profit organization Proof of establishment of the workforce I have partnered with a Bitcoin financial services company. fold and Pickle Bob To organize Bitcoin-themed Pickleball Tournamentoffering a prize pool of $5,000 to participants and winners.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on October 18 in Santa Monica, California during Peer-to-Peer Bitcoin FestivalIt includes both a semi-professional and amateur division, and the winner of each division will receive their payment in Bitcoin. Participants will also have the opportunity to win Bitcoin wallet devices provided by Quinkite.

“This will be a great event bringing together two talented and high-growth communities, Bitcoiners and Pickleballers, to support the creative reuse of commercial spaces on the Third Street Promenade,” said Proof of Workforce founder and Santa Monica firefighter Dom Bay.

Earlier this year, the Pay Foundation partnered with the city of Santa Monica to launch a Bitcoin office in Santa Monica, making it the first US city to do so.

“The Santa Monica Bitcoin Office is already bringing community and revenue opportunities to key areas in our economic recovery strategy, and it does so at no cost to the city,” said Santa Monica Deputy Mayor Lana Negrete. “This is exciting and an example of the collaborative and innovative ideas to reimagine retail on 3rd Street.”
