RoboMarkets Group has announced strategic changes to its European business model, which are scheduled to be implemented by the end of 2024.
In a press release, the group said: “Given the European market conditions, we have decided to focus our European operations and expertise to primarily serve equity investors and traders.”
As part of this transformation, RoboMarkets Deutschland GmbH, headquartered in Frankfurt and regulated by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, will become a hub for European retail clients, focusing exclusively on stocks, bonds and ETFs. RoboMarkets Ltd, headquartered in Cyprus and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, will become an institutional broker and will no longer serve retail clients from early 2025. This change will allow the company to continue to focus on and continually improve the technological, execution and other high-quality aspects of its products.
High-risk and leveraged instruments, such as Forex and CFDs, will be completely discontinued and will no longer be available through RoboMarkets’ European entities as of early 2025.
“RoboMarkets has strong expertise in IT, liquidity and other aspects of brokerage, which we aim to leverage to compete effectively in the brokerage sector. Our proprietary platform, developed by our IT team and supported by ongoing investments in technology, is designed to benefit our clients and attract more self-directed traders and investors in Europe. In the future, RoboMarkets Deutschland GmbH will continue to expand its stock and market offerings, improve trading conditions and maintain a stable, competitive and attractive environment for clients. We believe that the market for self-directed investment and stock trading will grow significantly in Europe, and we are committed to becoming one of the leading brokerage companies in the region,” commented Vanio Walter, Director of RoboMarkets Deutschland GmbH.
