LONDON, Sept. 16, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — This collection is characterized by simple elegance and authentic British creativity; expressive designs are characterized by familiarity.

There is a sense of adventure in the summer: rainwear is cut. The elements of raincoats are deconstructed and executed in light fabrics: silk poplin and linen.

The worn materials reference nature. Cloaks and coats are coated for protection; fabrics are washed and bleached in the sun for a distressed feel, drawing on Burberry’s heritage of fabric innovation.

The pants are easy and comfortable; the buttons at the ankles adjust the body shape. The cargo pants are functional and provide protection. The long skirts are in bright colors, and the edges of faux feathers in silk organza adorn the shoulders. The dresses are hand-sewn with metallic sequins in gold and purple.

Men’s jackets feature lightweight, triple-layer fabric on checkered car coats. Polo collars are tucked under fitted leather jackets for a sense of sophistication and elegance; a vibrant British spirit.

Wooden shoes are durable; men’s penny loafers are soft; open-toe mules with twin heels add a feminine feel.

The bags are characterised by their outer character: the Burberry Country bag features a grained, check-embossed leather, while the B Clip bag is made of suede, suede and check-embossed leather.

The colors are cheerful: palms, greens, carrots, bellflowers, and purples, along with neutral shades of yellow, green, gray, and light gray.

An original set was created by British artist Gary Hume.

“What makes making art so great is that it’s interesting. You’re always looking and then making.” – Gary Hume

The Summer 2025 collection is presented at the National Theatre, continuing Burberry’s long-standing commitment to supporting the arts. Brutalist architecture is complemented by the modern works of Gary Hume, contrasting the lightness of the collection.
