The company said it would choose one of three drilling vessels to operate from Deep water InvictusAnd Deep water thalassa And Deepwater Proteus No later than one year prior to the earliest date in the commencement window.
Transocean (RIG) said the 1,080-day contract will contribute $518 million to the company’s backlog, excluding mobilization and layoff revenue, and is expected to begin between the fourth quarter of 2025 and the second quarter of 2026.
“The fact that our customers secure rigs well in advance of their programs and commit to long-term contracts clearly demonstrates the tightness of the market,” said CEO Jeremy Thigpen.
