Trump holds over $1m in ETH, plus a MAGA meme coin

Recent revelations about Donald Trump’s financial interests show that he holds millions of dollars in cryptocurrencies in addition to receiving significant income from NFT licensing fees.

Trump recently promised that if he wins the November election, he will create a national strategic reserve of Bitcoin for the United States.

Pushing the crypto agenda, the Trump sons made a splash on August 7 when they announced a “huge announcement coming.” In a post on X, Donald Trump Jr. hinted that the upcoming announcement would “shake up” the crypto ecosystem, while Eric Trump expressed his deep enthusiasm for crypto and decentralized finance, promising major developments in the space.

Immediately following the announcement, some analysts suggested that the development could target the real-world asset market.

However, in a subsequent interview with the New York Post on August 14, Eric Trump announced that the next project would focus on “digital real estate.”

Eric Trump’s announcement sparked a series of social media rumours, which Trump Jr. later addressed. The eldest Trump sibling urged the community to rely solely on updates from the company’s official Telegram channel for the project, called “The DeFiant Ones”.

The Trump campaign team also tried to rally the crypto community behind the former president, raising over $3 million in crypto donations to show their support for the crypto community.
