Israeli startup inAhlam, which developed an AI-based platform for managing nonprofits, helps raise funds for displaced persons, Israeli soldiers, and others affected by war in Israel from Israeli citizens, Jewish communities around the world, Christian communities, and others who support Israel.
Vee itself also announced the completion of a $7 million seed funding round led by TLV Partners. Vee was founded in 2020 by CEO Mai Pimenta, COO Avi Amor, CTO Idan Toby, and VP of Sales and Growth Noam Mendelsohn. The company has 20 employees, most of them in Ramat Gan as well as Miami. Vee has over 100 customers in the US.
Vee typically focuses on the US market, but during the war in Israel, the startup offered its platform for free to advocacy and fundraising initiatives. “When the war broke out, there were a lot of groups that needed public diplomacy content in English, so we offered Maggie to help them,” says Piamenta, 24.
Maggie is an AI-powered digital agent that provides professional digital marketing services. In other words, she works proactively and doesn’t wait for operational instructions.
For example, Maggie can scan social networks and find content that works well in the nonprofit’s niche and that drives engagement from online users. Maggie produces new content, designs graphics, and publishes directly to social networks.
“With Maggie, we created over a thousand pieces of informational content in English in one month,” explains Piamenta. “In addition, thanks to our access to donor and foundation databases, we were able to establish good connections between army units and private individuals and foundations in the database. Within two months, we raised about 2 million shekels to purchase equipment for soldiers and displaced persons and to support the families of hostages.”
The new capital raised will be used to expand development teams with the goal of increasing the scope of solutions the company offers to nonprofits.
“Even in high school, I was involved in community contributions, and even then I was leading global nonprofit projects, managing the operational setup of a US nonprofit in 32 countries. After gaining experience in this field, I realized that the need for technological tools was enormous, especially due to limited budgets and lack of knowledge. I thought it was time for these important organizations to have an easier and clearer way to succeed, and that is why we started Vee.”
According to Vee data, the U.S. nonprofit sector is home to 1.8 million organizations, generating $2.9 trillion annually, but most remain outside the AI revolution. Much of the work is done manually, resource-intensive ways.
Into this void comes Vee’s AI agents. In addition to Maggie, Vee’s grantmaking tool was developed to raise grants for nonprofits, and according to the company, it has already shown success rates comparable to those of human professionals, at a much lower cost.
