It is noteworthy that the Washington Post says that former President Barack Obama told his allies that Biden needs to think seriously about his ability to survive.
The article adds that Biden’s path to victory has shrunk dramatically.
That feeling hasn’t been unusual lately. Biden even opened the door, saying in a new interview with BET that he would consider dropping out of the 2024 presidential race if a doctor diagnosed him with a “medical condition.”
- Yesterday, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) became the most prominent elected Democrat to call for Biden to drop out of the race. Schiff is close to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (who still supports the president).
A new poll released Wednesday also showed that nearly 2/3 of democrats Voters want Biden to drop out of the race.
The Republican National Convention is ongoing but winding down. The Democratic National Convention will be held from August 19 to 22. But that date is still far away.
