Liberty Lake, Wash. March 20, 2025 (Globe Newswire) – ITRON, Inc. Tesla Inc. To deploy an advanced virtual power station (VPP) in Colorado in cooperation with Xcel Energy. Cooperation is part of a new effort ITRON Working with Xcel Energy To manage the increasing number of power resources (DERS) with ITRON GRID EDGE Intelligence (GEI). This Xcel Energy initiative allows the DERS management to enhance the customers' value.

It allows the solution to the power resources management distributed in ITRON ITRON, which is part of the INTRON GRID EDGE Intelligence and supported intelligence portfolio, power providers from the assembly and localization of the DERS management. Colorado has more than 300 sunny days a year, making the country an ideal candidate for solar energy and storing the battery, and was one of the first states in the United States with a renewable energy standard. The Connect for Renewable Batteries from Xcel Energy are supported by home batteries for residential participants during peak periods of energy demand, sending the stored energy to the network and reducing the demand for peak. The Connect for a renewable battery program is a unique model in Colorado and combines Aggrator Derms solutions and storing battery from ITRON and Tesla, respectively.
