TODAY: Toronto’s 2025 International Women’s Day March and Rally will draw crowds in Toronto, raising voices and galvanizing resistance in a time of uncertainty

Toronto, March 08, 2025 (Globe Newswire) – on Saturday, March 8, is the International Women's Day, and for the year 47, it will bring Warli's march in Toronto International crowd to the streets of Toronto, where supporters raise their voices for gender equality and social justice. (United Stelworsers Union is a participation organization.)

Starting at 11 am (ET), the annual gathering will highlight both local and international issues, including the cost of the living crisis, the rise of the oath, and the conflicts against colonialism facing the indigenous, Sudanese and Palestinian peoples. The march will contain a group of powerful loudspeakers, including:

  • Judy Rebec, the famous writer, journalist, abortion activist and member of independent Jewish voices
  • United States Labor and Human Rights Party Virginia Rodino
  • Dr. Catherine Brooks, Anishnoub Koy Elder
  • Nicole Brennan, a worker at the Ford Oakville assembly plant
  • Narbut Alienia, a migrant worker facing deportation

“Trump is trying to return to all the rights that I have spent in my life for the fight for it,” said Rally Rally head, said.

A special estimate in the assembly will be paid to the elderly and the original activist, which was active in IWD in early Toronto and fought against coercion sterilization of indigenous women.

It is organized by a variety of community groups, students and unions, and sponsored by women who work with immigrant women, and the event usually brings together thousands of women, men and non -bilaterals and gender recruitment for the march for equality and justice. Toronto is the only city in North America that has an annual IWD gathering every year since 1978.
