For the first time in history, the Argentine Senate opened its doors to discuss Bitcoin, thanks to efforts NGO Bitcoin Argentina. The conference, entitled “Bitcoin and its organizational framework”, was held this week in the Arturo Illia Hall for Legislative Palace.
The event was collected by NGO Bitcoin Argentina, gathered the event among the main political advisers and heads of departments from various political blocs to explore the potential effect of Bitcoin on the Argentine economy and organizational landscapes. Gabriella Pattiato, lawyer and legal coordinator of Bitcoin Argentina, led an in -depth discussion about Bitcoin's philosophy, development, and the ongoing global organizational discussions surrounding its adoption.
“This is an essential step towards legislative recognition of the ecosystem for encryption. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are already part of the economic reality, and it is necessary that strategic decision makers have clear and accurate information,” said Ricardo Miora, President of Bitcoin in Argentina.
The conference was led by Senator Antonio Jose Rodas, with the participation of Senator Mariana Gauri from Mendoza, and offered increasing interest in understanding and integrating Bitcoin in the legal framework of Argentina. Their discussion focused on bitcoin on the transformative capabilities of its growing role in global financing.
“This event sets a precedent and enhances our goal of bringing knowledge about bitcoin and blocs to all sectors of society. We will continue to promote these spaces because we believe that through dialogue and education, we can build appropriate regulations and enhance the development of the sector,” said Jimina Falloni, CEO of NGO Bitcoin.
