PARIS (Reuters) – The board of directors of French technology company Atos is scheduled to meet on Sunday evening to consider takeover offers, including one from Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky, newspapers Les Echos and Le Figaro reported.

Atos, which provides communications for the French army and is set to manage cybersecurity for this summer's Paris Olympics, has given itself until Friday evening to receive refinancing offers.

The struggling company has also received takeover bids led by David Liani, CEO of OnePoint, Atos' largest shareholder, and US fund Bain Capital.

Newspapers reported on Sunday that these offers will be in addition to the offer made by creditors who represent about half of Atos' debt.

Atos declined to comment.

Atos said on Monday that it needs 1.1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) in cash to finance its activities during the 2024-2025 period, compared to 600 million euros in a previous estimate, due to changing market conditions.

The financial difficulties faced by the French state prompted it to offer to acquire some of its strategic assets.
