Israeli businessman Eyal Waldman has purchased several apartments in the Israeli-Canadian Rainbow project in Sde Dov, north of Tel Aviv, a source close to the deal told Globes. Waldman bought an entire floor on one of the top floors of a planned tower for NIS 50 million. Globes also learned that Waldman intends to combine them into a single 550-square-meter apartment.

According to information received by Globes, Waldman will pay NIS 90,000 per square meter, without finishing the apartment, as he plans to combine the apartments into one. This type of deal without finishing and interior design is the most common in the office real estate market.

Waldman is currently the owner and chairman of Waldo Holdings. He founded the technology communications company Mellanoxm, which was sold to Nvidia in 2020 for more than $7 billion. On October 7, Waldman’s daughter Danielle and her partner Noam Shay were killed near the Gaza border by Hamas.

184 apartments in the project were sold for NIS 1.6 billion.

The Israel Canada Rainbow project includes 480 residential units and an additional 2,000 square meters of commercial space. The project includes a 39-story high-rise tower and six nine-story buildings. As of May 2024, Israel Canada has sold 184 apartments in the project for a total value of NIS 1.6 billion. The apartments were sold to singer Noah Kirel, who purchased a five-room apartment for NIS 10.5 million. The average price per square meter for apartments sold so far is NIS 82,206.

Construction of the project is scheduled to begin after approval of planning, design and excavation works. According to the company’s financial report, the project is scheduled to be completed in 2029. Israel Canada won the land tender in 2021 with a bid of NIS 1.307 billion, including development.
