Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) expanded access this week to its artificial intelligence chatbot Copilot, which earned a mark of Incremental Positive from Citi in a note released Wednesday.
The Copilot subscription plan is now offered to individuals and small businesses. It previously had a 300-seat minimum purchase plan for commercial users.
The new subscription plan starts at $20 per month for individuals and $30 per month per user for the commercial plans. Citi said a 5% adoption rate by its 77M customers using Microsoft 365 could add $925M in revenue by fiscal year 2025. An adoption rate of 15% could add $2.7B in sales.
Copilot, which Microsoft (MSFT) dubs as an “everyday AI companion,” is intended to assist writers, programmers, creators, and designers.
Copilot Pro brings Copilot AI capabilities to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers. It also provides the ability to create Copilot GPTs. Microsoft also announced the general availability of its Copilot app for iOS and Android phones.
Microsoft appears to be all-in on AI as annual sales are projected to jump nearly 12% in 2025 thanks to AI.
