Shell (NYSE:SHEL) has begun offering renewable diesel fuel at 75 Los Angeles-area Shell gasoline stations, Dow Jones reported Monday.
The company is promoting renewable diesel as a low-carbon, drop-in fuel that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% compared to conventional diesel and can be used in any diesel engine.
Separately, Emirates announced an agreement with Shell Aviation (SHEL) for the supply of more than 300K gallons of blended sustainable aviation fuel for use at the airline’s hub at Dubai International Airport.
As part of the deal, Emirates said it will track SAF deliveries and related data through the Avelia book-and-claim platform, which tracks the environmental attributes of SAF delivered into fueling networks.
Finally, Shell (SHEL) CEO Wael Sawan said the company has no plans to change strategy, he told the ADIPEC energy conference in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
