Former Israeli Industrialists Association president Shraga Brosh was found guilty of tax evasion and fraud in the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court. In the indictment against Brosh and his accountant, Michael Bar-Livav, who is representing him, they are accused of tax evasion of NIS 1.5 million and forgery of a document that was submitted to the Israel Tax Authority.
Brosh, the company he and Bar-Levav owned, was charged with fraud with intent to evade taxes, forging a document with the intent to obtain something under aggravating circumstances and fraudulently obtaining something under aggravating circumstances.

Bar Levav, convicted two years ago, as part of a plea bargain, after pleading guilty to the indictment. Bar Levav admitted that he helped Brosh prepare forged documents in favor of tax benefits, and was sentenced to nine months in prison, fined NIS 50,000, and banned from practicing accountancy.
case. Iris Neff Sabbagh of the law firm Scheinman-Negev-Nef said on behalf of Shraga Brosh: “We were surprised by the ruling. Shraga Broch has made important and fundamental defense claims and we stand behind them. After studying the verdict, we will consider our steps.”
