The Future Of Home Bitcoin Mining Is Bright

Perhaps the best way to decentralize the Bitcoin network is through home mining, and things are moving in the right direction.

yesterday, Solo Satoshi The company announced Bitaxe Touch, the latest device in the world of home Bitcoin mining.

This new device will use the BM1370 ASIC chip from the Bitmain S21 Pro and will be able to reach a hash rate of up to 1.6 TH/s.

It will also feature a touch screen that displays Bitcoin network statistics including total network hash rate, overall network difficulty, and block height.

Part of what fuels innovation like Bitaxe Touch is the work of Open Source Miners United, a Discord group Started by Skot from Bitaxe with over 5,500 members where home mining enthusiasts share ideas and blueprints for new hardware.

The group was created so that anyone who wants to contribute to the development of the Bitaxe project can do so, and it even offers grants to some contributors.

These shareholders’ jobs will likely become easier when Block issues its own ASIC chipWhich mining hardware developers will be able to use in their devices.

And for those of you who aren’t as technically inclined but still want to get into home mining (and who live in cooler climates), you can always purchase a Heatbit, which is essentially a plug-and-play home mining rig that also doubles as a space heater and air purifier.

Even with all of these new devices hitting the market, I still believe that we are in the early stages of the at-home Bitcoin mining movement and that this field will continue to flourish as more developers and everyday people get into it.

In fact, the future of home mining looks bright.
