Financial affairs
luck: What is the best investment you bought ever?
Apartment in Brussels, where I am. I bought it two years ago, and it has been a profitable investment since the first day, as it covers the rent more than my mortgage. I have made some renovations to make it more efficient in using energy, so the value has already increased, and it may continue to rise because it is located in a good place. It was a little work, but I really like to build things made.
And the worst?
Nothing yet. I was lucky.
What are your living arrangements such as: the luxury apartment in the city or the sprawling suburbs?
I live in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. It is considered a calm, brief, and friend of the family, with many small cafes and yoga studios. My apartment is filled with Scandinavian art. I have always tried to present any place where you lived sustainable. In fact, it's at the heart of the reason for the start of Faircado.
In 2021, when I moved to this unlikely apartment during the epidemic, I could not go out to a store and buy used furniture. So I started doing this via the Internet and realized how the experience was timely and took a long time. The same for clothes, books and electronics.
How to move to work?
By bike! I am at least an hour a day. It keeps me decent and refreshes my mind. I do not have a car (and I hope I don't need it).
Do you carry a portfolio?
I rarely have money. My favorite bank is tomorrow, a sustainable bank that invests my money in social and environmental projects. In addition, their cards are really beautiful.
Are you investing in stocks?
I played with a little group group. I have invested in renewable energy companies that are working well at the present time, for example. Also, Ebay, because I really think that the uses are the future, and Spotify, because it is one of those products that make life more beautiful.
I will not give anyone advice on this topic, but I say it is a good tool to promote the companies you understand and believes that it belongs to the future of our economy.
What is the personal financial advice that you will give to your 20 -year -old self?
- Save 20 % to 50 % of your salary. Transfer directly to the savings account on the day you receive your salaries. Ensure that your spending does not exceed the same rate of profit.
- Less but best-used purchase. Focus on high -quality things that will really bring you joy and long -term benefit.
- Never save experiences and learning. Things that make you always grow a good investment (including treatment and trips to mountains).
- Be generous with the people and associations you love.
- Buy a house or apartment as quickly as possible. Then you can either live in it (and invest in something that will be for you 20 years ago), or to rent it and let the mortgage pay itself. It is a great investment (except if you are really lucky, or live in an unstable country), and if S-T hits the fan, you will always have a place to live in.
Where is your wish?
I still wear the person I bought 15 years ago with a salary from the first job for students. I heard that it does not fit with the old Chanel necklace, but I don't care.
Necessities
How do you get daily coffee repair?
No capsules. I completely boycott Nespresso and Starbucks. But I am a fan of all ethical coffee brands. Those who already pay farmers behind coffee beans. Get a circle coffee mine, in Berlin. I have a very simple bialetti moka machine at home, and we have the Delonghi Deedica Art Espresso in the office (used, of course), with milk foam for our daily doses of cappuccino oats. Vepi in Berlin is very fabi.
“Never save experiences and learning. The things that make you grow are always a good investment.”
What about eating while moving?
Take out every day, usually with some team members or investors. Berlin offers amazing lunch options from 5 to 12 euros, and while I hate cooking, I do not see a reason not to eat abroad. I usually go to get salad, falafel, Italian pizza or sushi. I don't need expensive food, only high -quality ingredients and good plant options to be happy.
Where do you buy groceries?
In the local organic farmers market, on Saturday morning.
How many times are you eating in front of Cook at home?
It was customary to be eating outside from 4 to 5 days, but now we have a helofress that provides great health recipes at home. So we cook more.
Where do you shop for your business treasury?
I buy most of my user cabinets and only the things I need, so I am shopping on re -sale platforms (mainly Virkado) and I find unique pieces in this way. I wear used céline, maje, comme des Garçons, Chloé, Sézane, Samsty SAMSESEME, Acne Studios, etc.
When I buy new (rare) things, it will be useful to support small designer stickers of fair fashion, which was perfectly produced in Europe.
What will be the typical outfit for you?
Sea Blue T -shirt, wide jeans, Chloe Pots/Birkensk Boston.
Are you the luxury owner of any future tools?
no. I find most useless tools. The only future thing that I bought is the Cube Nuroot Gravel, in Smokylalac'n'n'black. But I say it is more than a piece of art. A very beautiful and useful piece of art.
Degenerate
How do you relax from the higher job?
My weekly therapeutic, daily, good running, yoga separation, drawing, dinner with my partner and/or with friends.
“I find most useless tools.”
How do you treat yourself when you get an upgrade?
I try not to buy things for that. If I have something to celebrate, I do things that bring me joy: go to dance with my friends, eat in a nice restaurant, or go to a concert or festival.
How many days of annual leave takes a year?
I don't know. I never stop and travel a lot to work, so it is difficult to say.
I spent one month in Rwanda (traveling around the national parks and working from the amazing Norrskeen House of Kigali) to escape from the gray of Berlin this winter. What surprised me is that people here seem happier than returning home. A great reminder of what we already need: water, some food, ceiling, strong societies, a lot of dance, singing and laughter, and a beautifully preserved environment. This seems to be the best recipe for happiness.
