Wed: El Al declines despite record results

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose by 0.25% to 2000.67 points. The Tel Aviv 125 Index rose by 0.24% to 1,989.86 points. But the BlueTech Global Index fell by 0.22% to 433.59 points. The corporate bond index for all bonds fell by 0.33% to 376.27 points. The value of trades amounted to 1.87 billion shekels in stocks and 7.36 billion shekels in bonds.

On the foreign exchange market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-to-representative dollar rate 0.517% higher as of Friday, at NIS 3.694/dollar, and the shekel-to-representative euro rate was set 0.198% higher at NIS 4.006/euro.

In the market, El Al Israel Airlines Ltd (level:Al) fell by 3.64% today despite announcing the strongest quarterly results ever in the company's history. NextVision Stable Systems (TASE: NXSN) rose 4.47%, and Electra Consumer Products (TASE: ECP) ​​stock rose 8.54% after it announced it was selling its 7-Eleven stores.

Bank Leumi (level:room) led the market today, rising 1.69% on the largest trading volume of the day. Bank Hapoalim (level: Polly) by 0.74% Israeli Discount Bank (level: I shut up) by 1.06%. Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) rose by 2% First International Bank of Israel (level:FTIN1; FTIN5) by 1.01%. Phoenix Holdings (TASE:PHOE) stock rose 2.08%, recording the largest increase on the Tel Aviv 35 Index, after announcing strong results for the first quarter.

Azrieli Group (TASE:AZRG) shares decreased by 1.18%. NICE SYSTEMS LIMITED (Nasdaq: Nice – good; level:Nice – good) decreased by 0.44% ICL (level: ICL: New York Stock Exchange: ICL) decreased by 1.92%. Energix Renewable Energy Systems (TASE: ENRG) posted the biggest drop in the Tel Aviv 35 Index today.
