Work on Metro to begin in Petah Tikva

1

Today, the National Licensing Authority in Israel, headed by Shera Brandt, today agreed to the first package of business on the Tel Aviv Metro to build the M2 line in Pitah Tikva.

The warehouse will be the storage garage, services and maintenance of metro trains and their vehicles with infrastructure, including offices and parking. As part of the initial work, Earthworks will prepare the land for the project. The cornerstone is expected to be placed in the project soon, after tractors have already started working.

Petah Tikva Depot will serve the M2 line, which is the most planned metro lines, which have been released recently confiscated orders for residential buildings in Central Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva and Bnei Brak. The underground line will extend more than 26 km with 22 Holon and central Tel Aviv stations to Gevataim, Bani Barak, Geifat Shmuel and Beta Tikva, and will end in the boat industrial area, where work begins to build the warehouse.

“This is the first package to work to build the metro system, which is submitted for approval by the sub -committee for detailed planning documents. An additional work packages will be provided to apply for work on other lines and sections are presented to coordinate with the National Licensing Authority,” said Ron Rocash, the National Licensing Authority.

However, despite the positive mood created by the beginning of the work, the transport industry figures are concerned that the government mass mass transportation system, which runs the project, will not fulfill the schedule for publishing tenders to build line excavations, which are planned for the next year. This is because NTA planned only one exit for both metro stations 109, while the requirements of planning institutions were planning several exits from each station, as is usual in similar systems around the world and facilitating the use of passengers.

Now, NTA was asked to plan exits from the stations again, and before completing this planning, the company will not be able to publish the tenders prepared by the entire market, and it is doubtful whether there are enough civil engineering companies in Israel to deal with the construction of the massive project in addition to other projects that they already participate.
